Shrek the Musical follows the hilarious and heartfelt journey of Shrek, a grumpy green ogre who has spent his life isolated in a swamp—perfectly content to be left alone—until his home is suddenly overrun by a chaotic assortment of banished fairy-tale creatures. To get his swamp back, Shrek strikes a deal with the power-hungry Lord Farquaad and sets off on a quest to rescue Princess Fiona, who has been locked away in a dragon-guarded tower.
